A thought that helped me!

So this morning, while me and Jeff were having a disagreement, I said something that now that I have thought about it, is perfectly true. I said, "Our relationship is 2 years old! 'a terrible 2 year old. It'll be self-sufficient when it's 20, but it's a toddler right now! When it was a new-born, it was perfect! It needs work now!"

And I thought wow. Yeah. If we correct it now, and work on it now, it will grow up into something very mature and self-sufficient. It's frustrating to have disagreements with someone who you love so much, but I've realized that its part of the process. When the relationship is brand new, its like a baby. It doesn't do anything wrong. As it grows up a little, it needs a lot more guidance. It needs constant watching in those early years so it can grow up a little without straying. Ive been around more toddlers than I can count. Those little boogers require an exhausting amount of work! So does our 2-year old relationship!

The great thing about babies and toddlers is that they are a blast. Its amazing to watch them grow up and learn new things. Same with us! Its a blast and our relationship is growin' like a weed!

I know I have a ton of newly married friends, and I just thought I'd share my spark of inspiration if anyone else needs a little boost.

Love at all ages!
